New to the RTLB role, Helen Taylor-Young set out to strengthen her use of The Journey to Tino Rangitratanga.
Helen’s story explores how the Journey to Tino Rangatiratanga enabled her to connect with a tama, Year 7, takiwātanga of South African descent.
By looking beyond surface behaviours, she positions the mokopuna and his whānau at the centre of her mahi, shifting the focus from deficits and compliance toward strengths, identity, and self-determination.
